Mobile computing is a generic term describing one's ability to use technology while moving, as opposed to portable computers, which are only practical for use while deployed in a stationary configuration.
Why do I need it?
If you or your employees are on the move and need to access the main Network, then you need it. It is generally found that people who travel large amounts on trains, etc. find this type of working extremely valuable as they maximise their time by working whilst being "in transit" between locations.
What will it actually do for me?
It allows you to be more effective, flexible, and most of all more efficient. In some cases it can mean the difference between working late at night when you get home or at weekends as the time spent travelling can actually be used for work related issues.
Client Testimonials
- Doncaster Based HSE : Nemark had been our IT department for some years. As our company grew we needed mobile computing to assist our technical staff to conduct Health and Safety work on building sites across the country sometimes where no power and telephone lines were present. Nemark worked with their developers to provide a solution that allowed our engineers to work anywhere in the UK through mobile hand devices that linked in to central SQL server and web back end. The result was that we were able to attract larger clients and ensure that our company could compete across all market sectors.
